
James K. Kim
RMT, M. Ed., B.A.
Biography
James graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy, New Westminster, BC in 2018. Prior to that, he got a B.A. & Master of Education from South Korea, then, a Master of Divinity from Trinity Western Univ., Langley, B.C.
As a clinician, he focuses more on the treatments of MVA injuries and pain with postural issues, such as forward head posture, functional scoliosis, spine & pelvis misalignment, etc. He has more than 5000 hours in clinical practice.
As an instructor, he teaches for the RMT program at Langara College, Vancouver, B.C. and West Coast College of Massage Therapy, New Westminster, B.C. Canada. He spends his time researching more effective treatments, expanding his clinical knowledge, and teaching RMT students.
James also teaches a CMTBC continuing education course for RMTs on efficient ergonomics and biomechanics to prevent strain, pain, and fatigue on the clinician’s body. These techniques aim to ease strain when performing massage therapy and to increase the longevity of the clinician's career.
In his spare time, James enjoys kayaking, fishing, and playing piano.
